Description

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is currently in the process of updating various state park facilities to improve services and accessibility. Little Pine State Park is a 2,158-acre recreation area tucked within the scenic mountain region of Tiadaghton State Forest. Larson Design Group assisted DCNR in upgrading various facilities within the park, including additions to their park office. LDG designed the facility to take advantage of the office’s location, which is built on a hill above the park’s man-made lake. Renovations included large windows for viewing the lake from the new reception area and education spaces. The new education space includes access to an outside natural habitat instruction area.

Other improvements include landscaping, grading, and renovation of three comfort stations and beach area bathhouse. LDG engineers designed a new drip irrigation sanitary system for both the office and comfort stations to utilize.
