Stefanie English, PE
Project Manager - Structural
I work proactively and collaboratively with clients to understand their goals, and effectively lead our design team to deliver services that meet our client's expectations.
Stefanie leads a structural engineering team which has garnered national recognition and serves widely admired clients in the multinational food manufacturing, retail, hospital and waste recycling industries, among others. As an early adopter of the latest mobile information technology, the team provides the latest in 3-D modeling, calculations and editing reviews from virtually anywhere to give clients an extra edge in time and cost savings.
Partnering with Cambridge Companies, Stefanie and her team received ENR’s Best Project Award/Southwest Region for the 110,000 sq. ft., $34 million Southern Nevada Recycling Center in Las Vegas, the largest single-stream recycling facility in the U.S. For one manufacturer, she has been de facto in-house project manager, giving her an intimate familiarity with difficult corporate budgeting and capital appropriations requests. For clients which do not release capital funds until construction cost estimates are approved, she knows how to produce advance designs to generate estimates and identify alternative sources of funds. Many of her team’s structures are sited on widely varying, challenging topography throughout the United States.
Having heard herself described once as “tenacious,” Stefanie has pursued leadership roles throughout her life. She demonstrates community stewardship as a member of the Howard Borough Sewer Authority, Water Tower Square board of directors and as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and her church consistory.
