Rob Matejczyk, PE, MBA
Project Manager - Energy
As a project manager, Rob provides clients with cost sensitive, common-sense design solutions for site development and infrastructure improvements, especially on challenging sites. The advantage of his years of experience is that clients receive a broader, more sophisticated worldview in problem solving and attacking challenges.
Among the top obstacles he regularly resolves for gas and oil operators is gaining access to and maximizing usable space on steep and constrained sites typically found in southwest Pennsylvania and northwest West Virginia. His designs not only make financial sense but are acceptable to regulators. On one freshwater impoundment project, he developed plans to reconstruct an access road by reducing the centerline slope from 24 percent to under 15 percent by modifying the alignment, reducing the road width to a single lane and controlling one-way traffic circulation. In another case, for a production well pad, he designed a reinforced soil slope wall system at the perimeter of the pad to significantly increase the useable surface area of the pad.
Rob is known for delivering comprehensive bid and construction document packages for large and small projects for federal, state and local agencies and private entities, each of which have very different delivery requirements. He understands the value of meeting tight delivery schedules and incorporates cutting edge technology into the design process to reduce delivery time and minimize costs.
