Richard Rogers, PE
Director - Energy/Office Leader
I was impressed with the consistent understanding and passion with which the culture and vision of LDG was relayed to me during conversations with employees prior to accepting the position.
Rich leads LDG’s Morgantown office which serves prominent
oil and gas, developer, and municipal clients in a wide range of energy and civil engineering niches. In 2018, he has overseen the office relocation to the 1,000-plus acre Westridge Business & Retail Park, Morgantown’s largest mixed-use development, a space which allows LDG’s teams to more effectively serve clients and create jobs.
One of the biggest challenges and an area of emphasis for his team is quickly responding to and understanding clients’ changing priorities in design, surveys, permitting and environmental issues. Rich’s team is known for quickly assessing and providing solutions to heavy landslide and settlement obstructions which impede a client’s production ability. Others are development of creative, cost-effective options for slope stabilization including soil nail walls and reinforced earth slopes and soil cement mixing for efficient pad and access road surfaces.
With deep roots in Morgantown and North Central West Virginia, Rich has more than 20 years of experience as an engineer and project manager in land development and energy. Among the more notable client engagements in his career are West Virginia University, CONSOL Energy, Southwestern Energy, EQT, Antero Resources, and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. He is a member of the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association and Marcellus Shale Coalition which regularly provide him with critical industry updates and trends.
