Maureen Bower, PE
Project Manager - Site
Maureen is a dynamic water and stormwater project manager in Corning. Her expertise and relationships of trust help a range of New York and Pennsylvania clients to find solutions for even their toughest technical design and environmental permitting challenges.
Among Maureen’s clients have been Tioga Downs Racino, Dollar Tree and Dominion Energy. She also has served private developers, state DOTs and many municipalities. One of her most difficult projects was to coordinate environmental clearances for a 55-mile New York pipeline within just six months, including wetlands and habitat areas for endangered species, in a very highly scrutinized regulatory environment. Another was the need to keep Tioga Downs’ racing and casino open while adding restaurants, a hotel and conference space in addition to expanding parking/roadways, adding swimming pools and coordinating utility reconfiguration. She’s also adept in helping low income and rural municipalities obtain grant funding, allowing them to pursue infrastructure improvements without raising taxes.
A natural leader of multi-disciplinary technical teams, Maureen is known for helping create the “2:30 Wheel of Controversy,” an informal gathering in LDG’s Corning reception area where staff talk, share and debate the issues of the day, driving innovation. She serves as a trustee of the LDG Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). She also helps to guide the annual Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) of the Corning Chamber of Commerce which instructs middle and high school go-getters on how to start and run their own businesses.
