Project Engineer - Highway
Jason is a Project Engineer in Larson Design Group’s Highway Engineering department. His experience includes the design of highway and transportation facilities. Jason’s engineering expertise includes geometric roadway design, pavement design, drainage design, work zone traffic control, signing and pavement markings, and three-dimensional digital terrain modeling. He is responsible for the preparation of all highway plans, generation of design reports, calculation of quantities, estimation of costs, and preparation of construction specifications.
Jason recently spent three years as extension of staff for PennDOT Central Office – in the Bureau of Maintenance and Operations assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Marcellus Shale industry use of Posted Roads. He has helped BOMO to request PMC funds for posted road projects, developed a project cost sharing program, drafted regulation changes related to Act 89, drafted executive briefs for PennDOT leadership, and developed various policy documents for PennDOT publications.
