Vice President - Energy
Chris’s experience in engineering and finance gives him a CEO’s perspective as a trusted business advisor in the development and financing of innovative oil & gas and alternative energy projects. Having spent part of his three-decade career with the Big 4 public accounting firm Deloitte, in addition to his engineering consulting experience with several international A&E firms, his big-picture understanding ranges from pro forma business models to project tax implications to the design aspects of conventional and unconventional energy projects.
Chris grasps how design, finance, and constructability must interrelate and how contracts need to be written to fully maximize opportunities and limit risk. For oil and gas startups, he “gets” the need for balance between attracting equity financing and a safe partnering strategy. His seasoned perspective includes upstream oil and gas programs, large midstream projects, alternative energy design and how clients survive economically in major market downturn.
Under Chris’s leadership, LDG’s team resolves clients’ most pressing civil design, environmental, geotechnical engineering and construction inspection headaches in the Marcellus, Utica, and Eagle Ford Shale plays as well as renewable projects across the nation. For one client, a large mid-stream natural gas transmission firm, LDG is providing construction inspection services along a high-profile 180-mile pipeline corridor which
will deliver 1.7 million Dekatherms of gas to 7 million American homes. The complex challenges include managing hundreds of roadway and rail crossings while achieving compliance with state and local regulations.
