Gary Sheets, GISP, has joined Larson Design Group’s Cranberry Township, PA office in the newly created role of Director of Geospatial Services to help the firm tap into the growing market for spatial data management services.
Sheets will help create a full-service geomatics division to help clients manage their physical assets by layering sophisticated analytical software with interconnected survey and mapping data across a range of architecture, engineering and construction fields.
In his new role, Sheets will be responsible for providing leadership and growth for LDG’s existing geographic information services disciplines for clients in the niche fields of transportation, brand architecture, energy, and land development. When asked why he was drawn to the company, Sheets said, “LDG is positioned for strong growth and has remained focused on maintaining the small-town values that have helped it to succeed. I look forward to using my skills to help the company further its capabilities.”
Sheets has a B.S.B.A. in management systems from Robert Morris University. He serves as an Aerial Robotic Infrastructure Analyst industry advisor for Carnegie Mellon University. He is active in the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, the Society of Military Engineers, and is a member of the Pittsburgh Technical Institute Advisory Board.
