With the Marcellus Shale in our backyard, Pennsylvania is a keystone for energy independence.
The same natural gas that will be generated and delivered to your home or business can be used to power vehicles. Compressed Natural Gas (or CNG) is stored in specially designed pressure tanks and then delivered to a vehicle’s engine. Because fueling stations are still sporadically available across the nation, heavy vehicle fleets that perform localized delivery tasks, such as snack food delivery trucks, concrete trucks, garbage trucks, beverage trucks, vending, and local transit bus groups are most suited for CNG applications at this time.
While the national price of gasoline rises, fueling fleets with CNG makes economic sense. A crucial step is to build interest in CNG and create availability of CNG fueling stations required to fill natural gas vehicles (NGVs).
On Wednesday, April 6, Larson Design Group is hosting a CNG Focus Group Education Day at our headquarters in Williamsport, PA. We are partnering with Greater Philadelphia Clean Cities, NGV America, CATA Transportation Collaborative, EQT, Chesapeake Energy, Centre Area Transportation Authority, Corning Natural Gas, Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, and the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation to share information about Natural Gas Vehicles and Fuel Stations in support of infrastructure development. We invite you to join us.

- According to the US Department of Energy, the number of publicly available CNG fueling stations across the United States numbers above 350, more than half of the nation's total. Other stations are used strictly for fleet vehicles. To learn more about our CNG education day,
