Civil Engineering – Bridge Design Engineer
- B.S. or M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering – emphasis on structures.
- P.E. preferred, but not required.
- PennDOT Bridge Safety Inspection Certification; preferred but not required.
- Two (2) to Ten (10) years of experience.
- Knowledge of current PENNDOT and AASHTO specifications, standards, and procedures preferred but not required.
- Candidate will have excellent planning and organizational skills and should demonstrate the ability to apply technical knowledge to analyze problems and develop strategies for efficient project execution.
Nature of Work
Preparation of bridge design calculations, design submission reports, construction drawings, specifications, estimates and associated work such as highway design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, geotechnical design and erosion and sedimentation control plans. May be required to perform Bridge Safety Inspections.
